Principal Contractor – 8 Build

Architect – Make Architects London

Clearwall are very proud to announce of their recent success in securing package works at Artillery Row, SW1. The project involves the conversion of an existing 1980’s office building in Victoria to provide eight floors of private residential accommodation, plus ground floor retail space.

A total of 22 new apartments will be created by retaining and reconfiguring part of the original building fabric and adding three new floors and a setback penthouse level. The project is due to commence in March 2014, and will involve working alongside 8 Build in delivery.

This prime corner site enjoys one of the most enviable locations in London, however the existing building does not relate well to its immediate context. The highly sustainable design strips the existing building back to its primary structure with Clearwall in-line to install new acoustic partitioning, suspended ceilings and specialist joinery items to both the residential and new retail units.

Clearwall have finally launched the Opus flush wall system onto the UK market. It offers a unique and innovative solution to perfectly flush demountable drywall partitioning.

The Opus system provides a clean and undistorted finish, completely eliminating flair to the head and base of the partition. This level of accuracy cannot be achieved through use of any traditional drywall systems available on the market today.

Opus also allows added detailing such as deflection, shadow gaps and recessed skirting profiles.

Please contact us for further information about Opus, and to find out about the potential benefits to implementing the systems into your design from inception.
